Javen joined Straits Financial Group in 2021 as Global Chief Technology Officer providing strategic oversight of Group wide Information Technology activities including Digital Transformation, Automation and secured technology advancements.  Bringing with him more than 20 years in the IT industry holding on multiple IT leadership roles across various industries including large MNC and public sector, Javen is responsible for IT department which supports Enterprise Applications, Electronic Platforms, Back Office Systems, Business and User support, Infrastructure, Communications and Information Security.

Prior to joining Straits Financial, Javen was appointed as Global Chief Technology Officer and subsequently Global Chief Information Security Officer as additional portfolio in DFS Group.  At DFS, he oversees the strategic planning for technology roadmap in DFS as well as managing global IT operations.  During the initial phases of Covid-19, he built a center of excellence providing highly efficient and effective IT services supporting business as well as delivered tremendous amount of cost savings and avoidance initiatives.  He is also part of LVMH CTO committee as well as LVMH CISO committee.

Prior to DFS, Javen held a Global Chief Information Security Officer role and Transformation Director being a key leader of critical transformation projects in APLL.  During his initial years, he had built a greenfield IT team as well as Global Data Center leading from design phase to successful completion of project.  He was subsequently appointed Director of Global Infrastructure team leading the Global team support APLL global IT Infrastructure across 180 locations around the world.
