On March 25, Straits Financial Services Pte Ltd (“Straits Financial”) was presented the Outstanding Market Contribution Award by Shanghai International Energy Exchange (“INE”) for its outstanding performance and contribution in participating in and expanding the market for INE’s crude oil futures.

Straits Financial has been actively investing resources in promoting and facilitating the international community to access these Chinese internationalized contracts, including the INE crude oil futures contract. As an overseas intermediary broker of INE, Straits Financial is thankful to be recognized for our efforts. We remain committed to grow and develop the Chinese internationalized futures market and will continue to work closely with the Chinese exchanges and partners to value-add the ecosystem.

The crude oil futures contract has marked its two year anniversary. Upon the launch of the contract two years ago on March 25, 2018, Straits Financial successfully brokered the inaugural trade on INE for Glencore, the world’s largest commodity trader. Straits Financial is also among the first batch to be approved as the overseas intermediary broker for INE.
